Shiome Therapy

Weaving Ancient and Modern Science for Transformational Healing Experiences

What is Shiome Therapy?

Shiome Therapy (pronounced she-o-me) Incorporates Yoga, Meditation, Gestalt, EMDR, Evolving Thought Field Therapy, and a healing dose of Intuitional Guidance to gently move you into Healthy Balance.

Yoga: Yoga means "union", union of our individual ego, personality, with our Higher Self, Higher Power. The science of yoga guides the individual to the Universal. Yoga helps support the sometimes-intense processing sessions by helping you maintain safety and awareness with an objective perspective.

Gestalt: Gestalt means "whole." Gestalt Therapy creatively guides one to reclaim and unite lost or shattered pieces of the traumatized self, with focused, conscious, Awareness.

Evolving Thought Field Therapy (EvTFT): Developed by John Diepold, Victoria Britt and Sheila Bender, EvTFT incorporates the science of Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing for biofeedback) and Energy Psychology. EvTFT rapidly releases bound or trapped emotional energy that disturbs one's nervous system.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Discovered by Dr. Francine Shapiro in 1987, EMDR is a potent therapeutic method with established success in treating posttraumatic stress disorders.

EMDR helps release the negative impact of traumatic life experiences locked in the nervous system. It helps ‘jump start’ the brain’s inherent healing capacity. Bi-lateral brain stimulation helps integrate both hemispheres--the thinking part with the feeling part. It is similar to the natural processing of the brain during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, the dream state, but clients are awake and aware during EMDR.

How is Shiome Therapy Unique?

Shiome means "rip current." Shiome Therapy employs the magic of Shamanic healing traditions with simple science. It combines ancient and modern wisdom with the cutting edge effectiveness of Energy Psychology. Shiome allows us to be conscious of our Highest Power’s role in the healing process. Shiome helps us feel safe, and remember that the light is more powerful than the dark.

How is Shiome Therapy Effective?

The synergistic combination of Yoga, Gestalt, EMDR and Evolving Thought Field Therapy helps remove inner and outer constraints to your healing process. Shiome Therapy helps one reclaim and heal parts of the self that were shattered or wounded in disturbing life experiences. It is a profoundly magical, transformative healing experience.

Shiome Therapy includes a protocol for Group Healing. A unique and remarkable phenomenon, Group Healing can help groups of people transform negative to positive feelings together. Within an hour or less, whether two or a hundred and two survivors of trauma gather, the group can experience the benefit of healing together in a common sacred ceremony that honors the healing process.
